I think the monologue competition is a terrific thing. I have always believed in actors not waiting around for opportunities – you can create your own, find any opportunity to create and get better at your craft. All you need for the monologue competition is yourself and a phone. It’s a great opportunity where only one thing matters; how an actor interprets material.
