Filmed Showreels from Scratch – Summer 2019

A showreel from scratch is the essential tool you need to find the right agent, to get seen by the top casting directors – and to give filmmakers a real sense of who you are and what you can do. I have been working with actors for over fifteen years and am passionate about creating actor showreels.

I am currently taking bookings for the rest of 2019. You don’t need to commit to working with me straight away — first let’s meet for a coffee and see if we click creatively.

Before we do that, have a watch of the video below – where I share a bunch of what I’ve learned about writing and directing showreels from scratch over the years. It’ll give you a sense of what I’m about.

It can be a bit daunting trying to see the path from no material, to showreel material, to film and TV, but I am here to demystify that road and help you on the way. Previous clients of mine are currently regulars in soaps, Netflix shows, and are popping up here there and everywhere in movies and TV adverts. (Here’s an old compilation; a bunch of these guys are doing really well).

I am passionate about creating the right showreel for each client. It’s why I write all the scenes after meeting you, tailored to your particular style and casting range. Of course, we like to think we can play everything, but I try to narrow things down a little, to focus on what is uniquely you.

If you’re interested in working with me and want to know more about how the process works, please read my FAQ where I go into as much detail as possible. But if there’s anything else you want to know, shoot me an email at dj@danieljohnsonfilms.co.uk.
